I WILL NEVER COMPLAIN AGAIN.
...Well, at least about all the silly small things that we take for granted more often than not!
Tap water.. gross!
But do YOU have to travel at your own risk just to fill a jug of water, that if you're lucky, isn't brown and full of who knows what?
Road construction.. frustrating and inconvenient.
Hey! At least we have it. Otherwise it'd be bumpy dirt roads all the way!
Getting sick.. never a fan.
WE have medicine at our fingertips, and therefor have a great chance to heal and get better!
A small bedroom..
an imperfect car..
scuffed shoes..
a lumpy bed..
having to spend a few cents more for food or even gasoline!..
Honestly, the superficial list could go on and on.

To say the least, this trip has been a real eye-opener, and I encourage EVERYONE to take a little trip ( it doesn't have to be far).. do a little digging.. spend a
little time humbling yourself by helping those who truly need it.
It truly is better (and feels better) to give than to receive.

Stepping off my soap box now.. :)
Saturday we spent most of the day running a medical clinic for a small village (Jjokelara) about an hour from our "hub." (Our bed and breakfast -"Maria's House"- is an amazing diamond in the rough! Maria owns it, and her daughter Anne and three other young men -Steven, Steven and Julius- help run it. All amazing Christian Ugandans!)
Anywho, we took vitals, filled and passed out meds, played with and loved on all who came (Roughly 200?) Needless to say, it made for a long and busy (and HOT) day, but well worth it. These people have very little, and just by providing a clinic twice a year, we are helping them improve their quality of life in leaps and bounds.
Fact: An African's lifespan is about half of that of a US citizen! No need for a retirement home, huh?
We concluded our evening with a home-cooked meal and a run-through of the day's events and how we were blessed.

Good morning Uganda!
